
"We’ve been a customer of Norman for many years. Last year, all the municipality’s 700 users had their spam filtered out by Norman Online Protection. We have users whose incoming mail contains over 80% spam. It’s mad! Whereas in the past we had to sort out this spam, and tighten up and fine-tune the system here at the computer and IT office, now users can sort their mail themselves. Now that less spam is getting through, we can busy ourselves with more important matters here in Haparanda municipality", says Håkan Tapani, IT manager.
"The reactions from our employees are positive. In the past, an employee coming back from holiday could be greeted with up to a thousand emails. The reaction was sometimes to check all boxes and delete all emails. That was quite risky", continues Tapani.
"We can now regulate the sensitivity of the system via our administrative interface, which feels good and we feel more safe. Not only that, I have never met my Norman salesman and, basically, never been in contact with Norman’s support. It’s a clear sign that the system is working right down the line. We’re thrilled!" concludes Tapani.
