Norman launches a new web site
On March 15th, 2004 Norman released its new web site with updated design and lots of new functionality.
"We believe that this is a significant improvement for all our customers", says Per Olav Førland, Corporate Internet Coordinator of Norman ASA.
The planning and implementation of the new web site have been going on for the better part of 2003.
One of the problems the implementation team worked hard to solve, was how to integrate and convey all the useful information - thousands of web pages - from the previous web site and into the new structure. "My feeling is that the result of this conversion has been quite successful", Mr. Førland says.
New features
Some of the new features available from Norman's new web are:
- A much improved searching mechanism compared to the previous web site
- Direct access to any product information from any page on the web
- A more logical menu structure, where main menus are located on the top of the page, and the different submenus on the left hand side
- Special search functions from the technical pages, restricting such searches to these pages only
- Improved support for local languages
