Two critical updates for Microsoft systems in May 2010

In its security bulletin summary for May 2010 Microsoft has published two updates for critical vulnerabilities in its operating systems / applications.

Critical is Microsoft's highest vulnerability rating.

The critical updates address the following issues:

  • One privately reported vulnerability in Outlook Express and Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail.
  • One privately reported vulnerability in Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications.

Updates that fixes the vulnerabilities are available from Windows automatic update mechanism for systems that support this. Alternatively, one may download updates from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com.
